Founded in 1989, the Salon De Virtuosi (SDV) provides support and performance opportunities to emerging classical musicians. Awarded annually since 1995, the SDV’s Career Grants have endowed over $600,000 of grants to selected artists.

Each to receive $5,000, the SDV’s 2024 Career Grants recipients are pianist Juhee Lim, VC Artist violist Emad Zolfaghari, the Renaissance Quartet, violinist James Birch, and singer Milena Manocchia.

The Salon De Virtuosi Gala Awards Concert will take place on October 9, 2024, at the Kosciuszko Foundation, which will feature Zolfaghari, Manocchia, and Birch.

Additionally, Lim and the Renaissance Quartet will be presented with their awards later in the season.

“Congratulations to all our amazing, winning artists!” the Salon posted on Instagram. “We look forward to awarding our artists at our Gala Awards Concerts this fall. More details to follow, so please stay tuned!”

Previous grant recipients include violinists Philippe Quint and Karen Gomyo, pianists Joyce Yang, Drew Petersen, and Conrad Tao — and VC Artists Yesong Sophie Lee, Zlatomir Fung, Minami Yoshida, Josef Spacek, Paul Huang, and the Aizuri Quartet.
